Read a poem by The Typing Explosion

read a selection of poems created at the 2003 Venice Biennale

During performances by the Typing Explosion, audience members take a title for their poem from a library cabinet of suggested titles. Or they suggest a title of their own in writing.
The typists have dealt with almost every kind of title. They have created spontaneous poems from pet names and political slogans; physics equations and declarations of love.

To date, the Typing Explosion have created more than 5,000 original individual poems. T.Y.P.O., a book containing selections from those works, is now available from them.

copyright on all poems is held by The Typing Explosion
